Remembrance Day

Today was Remembrance Day...a day to remember and give thanks to all who served and continue to serve for our country.  As always, it was a chilly day here in Nova Scotia so I bundled up and headed out for a local ceremony.  It was really nice to see that every generation is taking the time to remember today.

The Timberlea Tundra Pounders (who have over 100 members now :-D) planned a run for the afternoon as well.  There were a couple new faces in the group which makes me extremely happy!  Because of the cross training yesterday and the fact that my legs/butt were killing me, I did intervals of run/walk with a few of the group members.  A perfect way to end a 3 day weekend.  That being said, it is hard to walk down the stairs.  LOL  Epson salts are really a runners best friend!!!!

It's nice to have a group who can be just as crazy/fanatic about running as I am.  I don't get weird looks when I say I got up early to run on the weekend, or that I'm hurting...but yes...I'm still running.  LOL.  I think we've settled on a graphic for the back of our t-shirts...check this out:

I'm off to relax a bit before a full day of professional development tomorrow.  Have a great night and remember that you are AWESOME!!!!

  1. Take the stairs backwards!! (I did this for about 5 days after my first full marathon and it was much easier!)

Hope your recovering well! Congrats on how successful the TTP group has been! So exciting :)
