Recap of September Goals

Monday....Monday...Monday!

I finished the month of September off the right way with a run.  It was H-A-R-D and I have no idea why!  As I was running, looking at my Garmin, and feeling like I was going at a snails pace I kept wondering how the heck I had hit a PB just weeks ago.  I couldn't find my rhythm, my arms didn't want to swing right....it just felt off.  I did get it done....and hope to return to more regular running now that my stream of 5k races are over.

The run tonight:

As I was running home, I did realize that I don't feel as strong as I have in the past.  I need to get back at the plank and arm strengthening moves!!

This leads me into my next piece which is to review the goals I set for September.

  • Eat better - this one lasted until about midmonth and then I seemed to slide backwards in terms of taking snacks to work.  I need to get better at this!
  • Plank a day - Again....I lasted until mid month.
  • Run consistently at least 3 times per week.  When my knee started hurting after Maritime Race weekend, I stopped running during the week so I could run all 5k races.  I hope to pick this back up again in October.  This time last year, I couldn't run at all.  I am happy just to be able to run.
  • To be more present at work.  This is the one goal that I did continue throughout the entire month.  I managed to dress for the part for the entire month and will continue to do so going forward.

  • So this leads us to October.  I need to think of my goals....I am going to carry forward the 'Eat Better' goal, but I need to set some new ones for myself!!!  Until then....I plan on enjoying the colors of Autumn and playing in the leaves!!!!

Valley Harvest 5k is 2 weeks away!

What are your goals for October?
What do you enjoy most about this time of year?
    Do you enjoy Halloween???

    3. Ugh hard runs are the worst. Especially when you have no idea why!

This time of year I love the crisp sunny days. For some reason I like needing to wear a jacket when I go outside :) And I love Halloween. I need to figure out my costume for this year though!
