First Annual BLT Santa Shuffle for the Kids

Brrrrrr....it's a cold one out there....minus 25 with the wind chill to be exact.  It was a quick call by the committee to continue with the Santa Shuffle and let parents make the call if they would come.

We were very fortunate to have donations come from the local farmers market in the form of bananas and hot chocolate.  A local construction company also plowed the path the night before to ensure that it was safe for the wee ones to run.

First Annual....members are already planning next year.  LOL

Santa was scheduled to arrive with medals and certificates made for everyone.  The photographers have only graced us with a tease of the pictures...but check out some of them below:

Amazing day with a few local children!
This is one of my favorite shots!!!

There are only certain times that it is acceptable for
me to sit on Santa's lap.  Today was one of them.

We were able to gather a box of food for the local food bank as well.  It was great to meet some TTP members that haven't run with us yet and to meet other members of the community.  I anticipate that people will be looking for this next year.  The recent snow fall made for some amazing shots...at least I think so.   I think the event was a success given we threw it together in one week.  LOL

Tomorrow we are expecting 15-20cm of snow...looks like a white Christmas here in Nova Scotia.  A few of us are going to try and get out before the snow starts for a small run.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous Saturday...I couldn't have asked to have started it out any better!!!!
