Cold Air and my Lungs ARE NOT Friends

Can you believe that Christmas Eve is a month away? Where did the year go? Yesterday I pulled out the Christmas movies...yes I did. The Santa Clause and ELF. My favorite line? "Buddy the Elf, what's your favorite color?" LOL

This means we're getting close to Christmas!!!
Yesterday morning I had a double run. I did 5k with the intermediate run/walk group that bumped up to 3:1. They did fantastic. Then I did 3k with the beginner run/walk group which had 3 new runners. I love new runners, especially when we are doing 1:1 and they comment..."wow...that minute went fast!" Looks like they will all be back! Less than one week until our clothing arrives...how exciting. And I have a little something up my sleeve given that it's Christmas and all!!! Stay tuned!

Today I got up early and did a 5.8k run on my own. I'm happy to report that there wasn't any knee pain but my lungs and the cold air ARE NOT friends. I'm going to need to do some research on what is happening and the preventative measures to help me as I'm not a fan of coughing the rest of the day.

Group run on the right, single run on the left!
Last night, after I thought the masses of holiday shoppers had gone home, I ventured out to do some Christmas shopping of my own.  Look what I found???
Can I go home with you???
Is it wrong that I'm in my late 30's and still adore these guys when I see them???  When I was younger, Christmas wasn't Christmas unless there was a stuffed animal on my chair from Santa.

I have a baby shower to go to today. Heidi is about 7 months (a little over 31 weeks I think) and is a huge running trooper. She has run throughout her whole pregnancy. We saw her yesterday as we ran and the group couldn't believe she was pregnant at all!

Well I'm off to do a little bit of holiday decorating....the tree goes up next weekend!  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

What is your favorite holiday movie?  The Santa Clause and ELF
When do you put your Christmas tree up? December 1st
Do you have a favorite holiday toy that you got as a child??  I was always super excited when I got crayons and construction paper but no one toy stands out.

  1. it is definitely a tie between ELF and Home Alone! My tree will not be going up until mid December...lol. I can't take sweeping pine needles for that long!!!

    1. If I had a real tree, my OCD would kick in with sweeping needles as well!!!

  2. Nathional Lampoon Christmas Vacation. Alex (my brother) spends a lot of time in his camper int eh summer, so my whole family cracks up at the line "S#!tter was full!". I also love Home Alone because of the music.

We'll get our tree early-mid December. It our "tradition" to go to a farm and cut it, so we'll have to find a new farm here on PEI.

I asked santa for what I called the "barbie voyager van" which was actually a camper/RV thing. But I got it and I.LOVED.IT.

  4. 1) Muppet Christmas Carol!
    2) Usually mid-December? I feel like the 12th is a solid day.
    3) Hmmm can't think of one off the top of my head! I think I was pretty excited to get a CD player back in the day, but I'm not sure if that counts as a toy...

I also love stuffed animals! I was never a doll person, but plush bears have a special place in my heart :)
