And guess what, the facebook friend I posted about in yesterday's blog, well she FB'd me today about wanting to do the Riverport Duathalon. There are two options. Once is a 4k run/28k bike/4k run. The other option is a 1k run/14k bike/1k run. I could do that! It's in October and I'd just have to check it against the Valley Harvest! I think she is going to do the 1/14/1. I totally think she should!!!
Tonight, K and I get back on schedule. This is the plan that we are following and I'm hoping to convince her to register for the Halifax (well Martock) Run or Dye 5k.
I'm a bit worried that I might have a small stress fracture in my lower left leg. Just run/walking tonight caused a bit of pain that lasted for about an hour. I'll have to ask my physiotherapist what might be happening. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious!!!
And guess what came in the mail? That's right....my PRO Compression socks! And I love them! Only 2 days left of their amazing 40% off sale. Check them out here!
Has anyone ever had a stress fracture? If so...what did it feel like???
Love the socks! I tried out my purples on the run tonight and got lots of strange looks....lol!!
ReplyDeleteI love your purple. Can you imagine the stares I'd get if I wore my Lunatiks???
DeleteI did a mile a day challenge from Memorial Day to 4th of July and it was fun! It was pretty easy to get out (or squeeze in) a mile a day. And no, I am not an over trainer (more of an under trainer) so I stay pretty healthy!
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was thinking too...I mean one mile can't be that hard to fit in. That will get me used to running every day as I only run every other day now.
DeleteLove the socks! I've been thinking about trying out compression socks for a while now. Do you have other pairs?
ReplyDeleteHi Janet...yes....I have a pair from Run Girl Run that I love, and a pair of compression sleeves from Lunatik atheletics that I love for recovery days.
DeleteI am in for the running a mile day challenge! Great fun! :-)
ReplyDeleteWicked...another person to keep me accountable!
