Healthy Snacks - RGF style

With my goal of keeping up with my fitness goals, I am also trying to make an effort to eat better as well....you know...fuel my body properly.  I find this challenging on multiple levels; (a) I'm an instant gratification kind of girl...if I want something...I want it now and (b)  It has to be easy...too much effort and I'm out!  So what are my go-to snacks???

Apples, Peanut Butter, and Raisins/Chocolate Chips - This is such an easy snack and can be made a head of time to take for work or while watching sports, etc.  Core an apple.  I have one of those core gadgets that makes it super simple.  Slice the apple into about 8 slices.  Coat one side with peanut butter and top with raisins (my choice) or chocolate chips...or even your favorite nut of choice (added protein).
Popcorn - so simple...you can pop some popcorn into a maker in the evening for an evening snack, but make extra for the next day.  I do not put much butter on my popcorn, and only a sprinkle of salt.  Having said that, there are lots of seasonings available for popcorn these days so the possibilities are endless.  Did you know that you can also pop kernels into a paper bag and pop into the microwave for a quicker snack?
A banana on a tortilla - I wouldn't make this one a head of time as I think the tortilla would get mushy....but fantastic when you are craving a tiny bit of sweetness.  One whole wheat tortilla, spread with all natural peanut butter, lay a banana on it...sprinkle with a bit of honey or cinnamon and then roll up the tortilla.  So yummy and quick!

Pretzels & Yogurt - This is one that I regularly draw on while I'm at work.  You may say 'What?' but don't knock it until you try it.  I dip my pretzels in my yogurt...cause I'm a child...but you could simply mix the two together.  I love the sweetness of the yogurt and the crunchiness of the pretzels.  Indy loves getting in on the action with this one as well.

One of the final things I'll leave you with is my overnight oatmeal.  Technically, it's not a snack but I will take it with me if I'm headed to work or out on the road.  Again you might roll your eyes and say you need it heated....but I don't.  I can eat it cold no problem and it's super filling.

Greek yogurt, almond milk, oats, frozen berries, and cinnamon.
Put in fridge the night before.
